Engine 1 is a 1931 Maxim 500 gpm rotary pump. This is Hope-Jackson's first motorized piece of apparatus. It was bought with 100% fundraising funds and is owned by the department. Engine 1 is still in service as a parade piece and still has all of the original equipment. It was in service until 1971 when it saw it's last call.
