| The Hope-Jackson Fire Company was established in
1924. This department has some of the hardest working members in The State of Rhode
Island. The dedication to training, details and swift response times have
improved our previous ISO
rating of 5/9 to a 4/9. |

| ENGINE 1 |
| Engine 1 is a 1931 Maxim 500 gpm rotary pump. This
is Hope-Jackson's first motorized piece of apparatus. It was bought with 100% fundraising
funds and is owned by the department. Engine 1 is still in service as a parade piece and
still has all of the original equipment. It was in service until 1971 when it saw it's
last call. Click image for larger version. |
