New members began their training tonight as Probationary Firefighters of Class 20-01. Tonight they learned about the history of the fire service, the virtues firefighters uphold, and the expectations of the community they will serve.
In the coming months, they will learn fire prevention, building construction, water supply and fire streams, personal protective equipment and SCBA, and many more practical and knowledge based disciplines. Once completed, they will have a fundamental base of firefighting.
